Brighton’s fun loving good time gang The Go! Team are back with a new 3 track single. The title cut ‘Grip Like A Vice’ has all of those Go! Team trademark ingredients that have put them in the spotlight, trashy 60’s garage drums working a funky groove, fly girl rhymes with a touch Sesame Street savvy, all topped off with chaotic hand claps, old school sirens, soaring key riffs and wigged out guitar licks. Next up is a cover of Sonic Youth’s ‘Bull In The Heather’, a swirling mass of Syd Barrett psychedelics and distortion overload. ‘A Version Of Myself’ brings the EP to a wonky country tinged / end of term school play close. The Go! Team are back with a bang, and I’m definitely going to be down the front at Glastonbury.
