Blu Mar Ten’s background used to be in drum and bass, but they’ve honed those skills into sophisticated chill out music that proves to be far more than mere wallpaper. On tracks like ‘Dolce Vita’ they add a touch of brightness with an acoustic string riff, while the title track shows they can still add cultivated breakbeats with ease. Meanwhile Why Me, Why Now manages to be a reflective and genuinely moving song, over soothing textures.
