The legendary Trojan Records are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year, and as part of the celebrations they are launching the Trojan Takeover series, drafting in various DJ’s to have a crack at remixing tracks from the highly respected and much sought after Trojan back catalogue. Suedehead about town Justin Robertson gets the series off to a flying start, with his re-work of The Pioneers classic from 1970 ‘Sweet Inspiration’. Justin dons his best titfer and concentrates on the funky break, cranking up the drums and bass, giving it a proper Lionrock going over, allowing for a little breather in the middle where The Pioneers surface and join the party. He’s pulled it off big time. The original mix is on the flip.
