I’m unsure if this tune is gonna be available on a physical format or just some download-only type shizzy, but either way you’ve gotta check it. Taking eleven of the UK’s leading emcees to let rip over a raw-as-chuff beat that incorporates the immortal ‘Mardi Gras’ break, ‘8 Bars…’ is a simple idea executed with aplomb. Of the rappers on show, arguably Foreign Beggars (“serving you arseholes like Boris Becker”) and northern fatty Stig Of The Dump fare nicest, but thankfully no-one stinks up the place. So despite some folks’ best efforts, it would appear the posse cut is still alive and well.
