The Rumble Strips are a blue eyed soul good time party band, that are treading a route similar to the one that Dexy’s Midnight Runners took. Charles Waller has got a voice that’s up there with Kevin Rowland in his prime, and alongside the brass riffs and stomping beats, The Rumble Strips will quite simply put a smile on your face. ‘Girls And Weather’ is a boisterous debut that includes the belting it out singles ‘Alarm Clock’, ‘Motorcycle’, and the current stormer ‘Girls And Boys In Love’, which sit amongst another nine, all guns blazing, sing-a-long cuts, where the choruses soar with arms raised approval. The Rumble Strips are one of the success stories of 2007, and ‘Girls And Weather’ will probably see them on the red carpet at the end of year honors lists.
