A fairly straight retread of The Stranglers’ classic ‘Peaches’ from way back when. Rodney P & Terry Hall look like they might have been paired solely for comic effect – at least on paper – however they gel surprisingly well together, largely due to Rodney P’s superb lyrical swagger, granted, but still, it does work. The Dub Pistols thankfully do little to mess with that winning bassline of the original version. They just cook it up a little, add a bit more hammond, then have the sense to let Rodney P do his thing. Great stuff.
