Where do they find them? This fourth excursion to the place where electronic music and folk intersect is full of good things once again, the musical equivalent of a hot water bottle with the colder weather outside. More familiar items come from Breaks Co-Op, the wonderful Findlay Brown and Little Dragon, while the opening Lawries’ track ‘Sailboats’ casts a spell along with the Beyond The Wizard remix of Midlake’s ‘Roscoe’. Keeping an open mind, the compilation ends with jamie Woon, Eva Be and Paul Weller, an illustration of just how many acts incorporate elements of folk in their music. It’s another fascinating education from Sonar Kollektiv, and blissfully easy to listen to.
