The title says it all about this album of slowly shifting musical patterns from M83, recorded close to the ‘Before The Dawn Heals Us’ LP. The style is very Brian Eno-esque, not only in their simplicity but also in their affecting moods. Tracks like ‘Coloring The Void’ have an underlying euphoria, floating on air as the melodic fragments gradually impose themselves. There’s a bit of birdsong but this is well above any accusations of new age noodling; crucially it’s quite short, as well, so never outstays its welcome. Subtly majestic.
