Hot Chip return to the airwaves with this catchy new single, the first taster for their third album ‘Made In The Dark’. On first listen it bears quite a strong resemblance to ‘Boy From School’, but turns out to have a more elegantly crafted production, light beats and carefully produced electronica sounds backing Alexis Taylor’s instantly recognisable voice. The chorus might seem at first to be inconsequential but after a few listens starts to embed itself in your brain, the harmonies twisting to accommodate the melody. This is a fine return, understated yet pretty substantial.
