Tokyo-based Kuniyuku , who also records as Forth, Kuni, Koss and Saikoss, follows his 2006 debut We Are Together with another sublime set. The man has played as guests of New York house innovators like Francois Kevorkian and Joe Claussell and here collaborates with names like Henrik Schwarz, Ian O’Brien, Alex from Tokyo and Double Face’s Shuichi Sakaguchi plus singer Josee Horlock. The result is varying takes on deep house heaven, ‘The Guitar Song’ a gorgeous, shimmering excursion drenched in acoustic guitar while ‘Dear African Sky’ is haunting with tribal underpants. Meanwhile the title track, with Josee’s vocals, is a mellow delight. There’s a fantastic atmosphere to this album, which sounds like it was made with a lot of love.
