A Human are a six piece London outfit, that are turning quite a few heads and raising a fair amount of eyebrows. ‘Black Moon’ is their first single proper, and it comes in on sweeping synths and a pounding bass riff, then the tub thumping drums drop, soon followed by Dave Human’s gothic tones. ‘…He sold his wife to a man called Tony. Black moon dark night, he sold his wife for a lost cock fight. Silver moon black night, his wife killed Tony with a pair of her tights, oh alright.’ There’s definitely a touch of Bauhaus about this. Is Dave Human the new Pete Murphy for today’s beautiful young vamps. ‘Black Moon’ also comes with a corking house remix courtesy of Dr Strangelove, aka Lottie & Pete Martin of Cass & Slide fame, the pair twist the fuck out of the keyboards and add driving machine percussion, which builds, drops and gets the blood pumping. The original and the remix are both made for late night dark cellars.
