Nik Weston’s globe trotting label digs a little deeper than most, and the second in the Funky Instrumental series is no exception. Ken Morima’s hugely authentic and funky Latin workout ‘Descarga Pa’ Ti’ wouldn’t have sounded out of place on a 60’s jazz label, yet was discovered by Nik in 2002. This is it’s first vinyl release anywhere. The Soultwisters are a Finnish band specialising in live funk and jazz, here making their vinyl debut with the swinging Mod-ish ‘Soulpudding’. As always, essential.
