Pete Doherty, what can you say, you either love him or loathe him, but you can’t ignore him. Personally I’m a big fan, from the punk swagger of The Libertines, right through to his acoustic solo performance at Glastonbury last year, in my opinion the highlight of the festival. The man has got exceptional charisma and talent. ‘Oh What A Lovely Tour’ is a recording of the Babyshambles gig at Glasgow’s SECC on December the 1st 2007, a night when Pete & Co were on form, holding it together, and delivering their songs with a large amount of enthusiasm. Highlights include ‘There She Goes’, ‘Pipedown’, ‘Killamangiro’, ‘Fuck Forever’ and a spine tingling rendition of ‘Down In Albion’. Wish I’d been there.
