Fred Everything

Deep house artist albums often leave the listener feeling cold – admittedly in a chilled sort of way – as they often contain little variety and have too much guile. Fred Everything, however, is another story, and he finds a groovy set of rhythms to keep the toes tapping throughout ‘Lost Together’. The title track, for example, adds a bit of swing to the deep house sound, which is nicely layered but never too polished, giving the vocalists a bit of room. Speaking of which, the virtually forgotten N’Dea Davenport makes quite a stir with her contribution to ‘Don’t Nobody’ – it’s worth considering the album for this alone.
