Producer and musician Andy Dobson has been writing & performing as Digitonal since the late 90’s. Then a chance meeting with Egyptian violinist Samy Bishai opened up a whole new world of cinematic atmospherics. The duo went on to make lasting impressions at The Big Chill, Bestival and a host of other festivals, as well performances across the UK, Europe & the US. Into 2008 and Posthuman’s Josh Docherty has joined Digitonal for their second album, the beautifully crafted ‘Save Your Light For Darker Days’, which weaves layers of soaring sounds into an emotionally charged set of mood changing experiences. If you’re only gonna treat yourself to one chilled instrumental album this year, make sure it’s this one.
