‘These Things’ gets a fresh coat of paint to celebrate Miguel Migs’ move to Hed Kandi – a transition that makes perfect sense. Where Migs has always stayed a step ahead of the Californian deep house crowd is in his ability to make deeply felt vocals, and a style of house that takes in a keen dubby influence, meaning not every track is awash with warm keyboards and soft, breathy female voices. Though, it has to be said, when he does that it’s excellent too! The new version of ‘These Things’ contains a second disc of remixes, with Crazy P’s take on ‘Sometime’ standing out, along with versions from Rasmus Faber, Faze Action, Cottonbelly and Simon Grey.
