Cut/Copy’s brand of electronic pop has swept all before it this year in terms of quality, building on the promise they showed in the New Order-influenced album ‘Bright Like Neon Love’. The third single from ‘In Ghost Colours’, ‘Far Away’ is a fantastic song – given a lovely wistful quality by Hercules & Love Affair. In a generous set of mixes, Knightlife’s ‘Sun Soaked Reprise’ of album favourite ‘So Haunted’ is a treat, adding just a little more weight for the dancefloor, while the band offer a bittersweet B-side in the form of ‘Sands Of Time’, classic Cut/Copy and every bit as good as the album tracks.
