Now then South London brace yourselves, because there’s a superstar in the making, that’s coming from your neck of the woods. Speech Debelle completely bowled everybody over with her debut single “Searching”, well now we’ve got the follow up, which sounds like a huge hit if ever I’ve heard one. “The Key” is given a certain emotive jazz swing with double bass and clarinets, riding on a low slung groove that packs a big dose of sunshine swagger, whilst Speech Debelle voices her honest opinions and advice, “And remember they hate to see you smile, your unique style, you’re everything they’re not”. “The Key” is UK hip hop at it’s most inventive and best.
