Anticipation is growing ahead of Ben Esser’s debut album, and has only been heightened by this clever piece of pop. The original features a remarkably catchy vocoded chorus, along with a couple of clever and slightly humourous verses. House ears will prick up, mind, when they hear that Sinden’s been in on the act, taking the song structure and especially the “we can work it out” catchphrase and turning it into a bouncy, catchy number. It’s the pick of the mixes here, though ‘The Very Best Radio Mix’ also does well with a few quirky offbeats. What the original does easily, though, is confirm Esser as somebody willing to make pop music with an eye on the dancefloor.
