Groovefinder

1. DJ Technics ’Gabryelle’ (DJ Spen Remix)(Code Red)
I absolutly love this remix it’s violin+string driven groove just builds and builds – strings of life for 2004 ?

2. UDI Ft Lucy May ’Like Music’ (CDR)
Ive had this for quite a while but it’s set for iminent release. With it’s strong vocal courtesy of lucy may its moves along really nicely.

3. Leah Mcrae ’All This Love Im Giving’ (Groovefinder US)
Finally out on our new US label this has the original Re-Rub and extra mixes from Mr Earnshaw. Leah does an outstanding cover of her mums original rare groove classic.

4. The Sureplayers ’Buttercup’ (CDR)
Due out soon this take on Carl Andersons soul classic written by stevie wonder works well in a nice soulful house groove complete with a deep twisted dub.

5. Orekid ’Yesterdays Gone’ (CDR)
This is Richard earnshaws next release on his 151 label. It’s a deep naked music style affair complete with lush vocals from Lucy Cunningham making it another strong release – Nice!

6. Lemon Jelly ’Be With You’ (XL Promo)
I know this is a bit cheeky and theres tons of similar stuff emerging at the moment. But their use of mums Fave ’Gallagher & Lyle’ alongside a tight production works well, I just like the quirkiness.

7. Common – ’New Wave’ (Playgroup Remix) (White)
I dont find myself buying much new hip-hop anymore but this is one of the best hip-hop remixes i’ve heard in a long time. Using Tom Tom Club’s ’Wordy Rappinghood’ sample against Common’s lyrical delivery makes it sound really old skool – Wicked.

8. Fantastic Plastic Machine ’Reaching For The Stars’ (MAW Mixes) (Kitsune)
I know this has been around for a while now, but i just cant get enough of this remix. This has it all for me – nice vocals, loads of musical changes etc – Just reminds me of the old MAW stuff – Amazing.

Groovefinder’s Re-rub Of Leah Mccrae’s single ‘All This Love That I’m Giving’ is out on October 18th on Groovefinder US.
