It seems about time to recognise the quality of this increasingly high profile series, and celebrate Kenneth Bager’s knack for spotting a good tune. He doesn’t restrict himself solely to Music For Dreams stuff, though when this does appear it’s good – either himself or DJ Disse. The inspired choices include an Ashley Beedle remake of Edwyn Collins’ gorgeous ‘You’ll Never Know (My Love)’, complete with extra strings, or the blissed Aeroplane remix of Grace Jones’ ‘Williams Blood’. Add Moby, the criminally overlooked Yoav, the warmth of Osunlade’s ‘My Reflection’ and the stimulating Mari Boine track, and you have an excellent, original collection – chilled yet uplifting at the same time.
