The Heavy have got to be the UK’s most overlooked band, “Great Vengeance And Furious Fire is an amazing debut, and just when you thought Swaby and the gang couldn’t possibly get any better, they come up with the number one contender for single of the year. “Sixteen” is the first cut to be lifted from The Heavy’s forthcoming LP “The House That Dirt Built”, the track was recorded in one very powerful take, in a rundown shack in The West Country. Coming bounding in on elements of the blues classic “I Put A Spell On You”, closely followed by Swaby’s raw and gritty vocal performance, overflowing with soul, energy and sweat. Proper gut wrenching stuff like what the all time classics are made of. Superb.
