2. Cagedbaby “Medicine (Analog People In A Digital World Remix)” (Southern Fried)
2nd single taken from Tom’s new Album and probably his best work to date. This is very special and really sounds like David Bowie at his best. We did something a little different and turned it into a techno work out inspired by Carl Craig, we are very happy with it.
3. Gus Gus “Thin Ice” (Kompakt)
2nd single taken from their sixth album “24/7”, which is forthcoming on the mighty Kompakt. This is full of warm vocals and analogue sounds. Simply beautiful.
4. Paul Jackson “Souls (Analog People In A Digital World Remix)” (Audio Therapy)
We were asked from Paul himself to update this track that first surfaced back in 2006 on Dave Seaman’s Audio Therapy imprint. As it says on the tin, we took it on a trippy journey into space, using the key elements from the original with a groovy bassline and some great synths that will appeal if you like the likes of Nathan Fake and James Holden.
5. Animal Collective “My Girls (Mike Monday Unofficial Remix)” (white label)
Probably the freshest and most exciting tune of the year. The Mike Monday Unofficial Remix just takes the brilliant atmospheres of the original to the dancefloor.
6. Michel Cleis featuring Toto La Molposina “La Mezcla” (Cadenza/Strictly)
This is our tune tip for the Summer, and now that’s been signed to Strictly we look forward to hearing the remix package. We are also diggin’ Michael Cleis Remix of Spencer Parker “The Beginning” on Ben Watt’s excellent Buzzin’ Fly imprint.
7. Toby Tobias “Space Shuffle (James Teej Remix)” (Rekids)
A great set of remixes of a great track by a great artist on Radio Slave’s great label. Great stuff indeed. Also Tensnake Remix is… Great!
8. Doves “Jetstream (Sasha Remix)” (Heavenly)
Sasha is on top form, and his Remix is incredible… A truly epic ride. Also Lindstrom Remix is very good as well.
9. Amadou & Mariam “Masiteladi (Rob Da Bank Remix)” (Because)
Rob Da Bank delivers his magic on this very talented duo. His Remix is pure class, and it’s the perfect Balearic sunset tune. Also check out their stunning Album “Welcome To Mali”.
10. Moby “Pale Horses (Apparat/Gui Boratto mixes)” (Little Idiot)
Really feeling both the Apparat and Gui Boratto remixes of this, and the original is probably Moby’s best work to date. This is essential.
