This is music from the Soma chiller cabinet, though being Soma there is not a semblance of cheese in sight. Instead we have the beautifully sculpted electronica of Vector Lovers, Black Dog and Octogen, or the brilliantly orchestrated ‘Prima Materia’ of Alex Smoke. Slam also get in on the act, with the dubby ‘Subject Invisible’, while from the house-orientated corner we have some chilled out stuff from Mirror Music. The tracks are well picked and placed in a logical order, a quality that shouldn’t be underestimated when it comes to compilations! Another dose of quality from the Glaswegians.
