Cate Le Bon
Me Oh My
Irony Bored

Cate Le Bon is good mates with Gruff Rhys, and appeared as part of his Neon Neon project. This is a completely different kettle of fish from that brilliantly polished, 80s referencing album, as often Le Bon appears with just a guitar for company, singing softly into the listeners ear. Occasionally the spirit of Super Furries rears its head, with some bursts of psychedelic guitar, while some of the vocals work well together, making unusual colours in ‘Hollow Trees House Hounds’ and ‘Digging Song’. This occasional weirdness suits Le Bon well, and while this is essentially an introverted record, it makes a mark for being different.
