The wayward soul that is Tony Thorpe (AKA Moody Boyz) has compiled the 1st long player on his imprint (Botchit & Scarper’s sister dubstep label) and has crafted a gem of a dancefloor dub step crossover ‘Freedom’. Just the right amount of soulful vocal and a rough and dirty fat fu**er of a bassline all pinned down with precision beats and a superb atmospheric synth line in the background that really adds the extra level of sophisticated soundtrack drama to this fine track already a huge favourite with Massive Attack! This and other fine examples of the genre can be found on the compilation. Thorpe has an impressive musical career , he’s remixed for KLF, Lee Scratch Perry and compiled the UK’s first ever acid house album back in the day!.
