The Young Punx Ft. Count Bass D
Ready For The Fight
Mofo Hifi

What I love about the Young Punx is you never quite know what’s coming next. Will it be electro or disco, breaks or block rockin’ beats laced with guitar hooks? Their latest is no different, revisiting ’60s sounding musicianship with a wordy street rap from Memphis-based hip-hop don Count Bass D. In its original version this tale of boxing glory sounds not unlike the first cousin of ‘Empire State Of Mind’, and has already been adopted IBF Middleweight World Champion boxer Arthur Abraham as his entry song of choice, as well as prominently featuring on EA Games’ Fight Night Round 4. Can’t wait for their second long-player ‘Mashpop & Punkstep’ due any day now. Knockout!
