Nils Penner and Sasse uphold the benchmark of quality set by the former’s inaugural release on their new label by letting Berlin’s John Muder loose in the subterranean chambers of the deepest house. The title track uses female vocal clip and soft-focus hypno-groove to weave its dreamy magic, while Sink Twice brings in tribal percussion, jazzy keys and the blue-veined piccolo. ‘Rapture Of The Deep’ burrows to mole-stiffie depths, bassy and swirling to recall sublime early 90s New York outings on labels like Nu Groove and Right Area.
