Italian producer Imaginary Part, has just released the tremendous ‘Machine Learning’ on Museek, so we thought now would be a great time to ask him to tell us his favourite ‘Back To Mine’ tracks. Check out what he had to say below.
Jules Venturini – Keep Me Close
The perfect soundtrack for a nostalgic Super 8 movie, forgotten in some dusty storage boxes.
Skee Mask – Session Add
Skee Mask’s Compro is definitely a serious contender for best release of 2018 for me. The whole album is just an incredible piece of work.
Grand River – When It All Was Flourishing
Part of Grand River’s Pineapple release on Spazio Disponibile, this is my favourite track from her EP; it’s like a beautiful ever-evolving soundscape.
Terekke – Padi
This Terekke’s lo-fi gem always reminds me of the stunning view when you fly over the Alps in winter.
Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross – Like Home
Unwinding and eerie at the same time, it brings the most out of the movie. It’s such a good score all together.
Lanark Artefax – Touch Absence
I discovered Lanark Artefax’s work through his Whities releases and he instantly became one of my favourite producers. This is probably his most representative work.
Donato Dozzy – Cleo
Definitely one of my favourite tracks of 2018 and one of Donato’s best to date.
Aphex Twin – Rhubarb
I could easily listen to this on repeat forever. It still amazes me how powerful this track is for bringing back your most nostalgic memories.
Ryuichi Sakamoto + Taylor Dupree – S D (St John’s Sessions)
The four separate tracks are available on vinyl only but the whole live performance takes you into another world.
Caterina Barbieri – Gravity that Binds
It’s hard to pick only one track from Caterina’s 2017 release on Important Records but this one is simply perfection.
