Pellon is a Spanish producer who makes the sort of dream-inducing, trance-prompting electronica that we rarely see in the contemporary electronic music domain. Full of enriching beats and gorgeous, soulful melodies, it’s a sound that’s hard to pin down – but is very much his own. As you might fathom, his picks here echo the fact. From trip-hop to downtempo jams to outright love songs, it’s an eclectic mix that defines the man’s musical tastes in many ways. Here’s what he picked for his after-party jams…
Plaid – Do Matter
For me, Plaid is one of the references in all my music. And the arpeggios and the emotion in this track take me really far away.
Leftfield – Storm 3000
Leftfield always will be part of my heart. This track is the perfect example of what was going on during those years. A drum & bass beat, acid sounds, spicy chords… just fantastic.
Andrea Parker – Melodius Think
Think Andrea and you always think dark and hypnotic. Unbelievable stuff.
Smith & Mighty – Same (Feat. Tammy Payne)
Bristol trip-hop with a beautiful vocal from sensual times many years ago.
Alexkid – Where
A great house track from one of my favorite artists. Classic house sounds in this track, with a sweet melody.
Andreas Tilliander – Selfcontained
Sometimes I us this track to close my sets. Andrea always surprises me.
Herbert & Dani Siciliano – Going Round
This track is just delicious. lovely dove-y deep house jam with nice vocals.
James – Blue Pastures
My favourite love song.
Mathew Jonson – Behind The Mirror
One of the best to do it. Mathew does just a wonderful job on this track.
Air – Moon Safari (Full Album)
What to say about this one. This kind of French sound is fresh, full of light, colours, the sound of spring!
