Back To Mine with Apnoea

Röyksopp – What Else Is There?

This is an absolute goosebump track for me. It never gets boring and always has a perfect mood whenever I start listening to it. It’s always in my playlist. And I really like the latest Artbat remix of this title too.

Apparat – Goodbye

This one made by talented multi musician Apparat is another song which catches me everytime I listen to it. I’m a big fan of all his outstanding work, but Goodbye is the best.

Moby – Go

This is definitely the soundtrack of my youth. Moby was, and still is a huge inspiration to my daily work in my studio.

Nils Frahm – Says

For me Nils is one of the best composers I know. Says is a timeless song, which fits to every mood. I saw him playing live, which was incredibly amazing!

DJ Koze feat. Apparat – Nices Wölkchen

DJ Koze is another big player in my playlists. His production skills are superb. All his music is so emotional but on the other hand big dancefloor killers. Hands up!

Laurent Garnier – The Man With The Red Face

Absolute Evergreen. The mood in this song always grabs me. I think this title will always stay on the favourites list.

Wishmountain – Radio

Great Techno Stomper. A track that I associate with many good party memories.

Plastikman – Disconnect

Disconnect is a perfect example that a track doesn’t need many elements to function. Just perfect!!!

Cesar Merveille – Maayancholy feat. Guti (Original)

For me still one of the best tracks released on Cadenza. Very musical and well produced. Love it.

Armand van Helden – Necessary Evil

In this song, I like the combination of the rough beats and the saw sounds. Was also one of my first vinyls.

Apnoea – Phnk (Stripped Down)

This German duo only debuted on the legendary Mobilee Records in spring 2021, but immediately turned plenty of heads. They have a combined 40 years of experience in the studio that has given rise to big solo projects on Noir Music, Get Physical, Last Night on Earth and many other labels. They remixed Timo Maas on Stripped Down earlier in the year, and their full debut on the label showcases a richly layered and emotive sound across two superb tunes. They open up with the excellent ‘Phnk,’ a deep roller with twitchy synths and slick claps. As the synths grow in energy, you’re lifted off your feet and transported to the stars on a smooth and seductive house groove. ‘Wormhole’ is just as well crafted and hypnotic, this time with more edgy synth motifs looping above pinging kick drums. There is tension in the bleeping keys and turbulent bass that makes for added drama as the eight-minute trip unfolds. Remixer and LA-based artist John Tejada is a long-time tech house mainstay. His famously pristine, well-crafted sounds have landed him on labels like Kompakt and Cocoon and made him one of the scene’s most consistent performers. Here he flips ‘Phnk’ into a sublime track built on clean breakbeats, with rich melodic patterns and lively bass all working to suspend you above the dancefloor. This is another stylish statement from this fast-rising duo.
