It’s fair to say that up-and-coming DJ/production duo Dissolut have a few strings to their bow. Natives of Germany, the guys have been bubbling up in the tech house scene for some time now, with their many uptempo releases gracing labels such as REALM Records, Rawsome Recordings and Formatik, marking them out as a duo of serious potential. Regardless, it’s their latest release – a heady two-track on Nhan Solo’s Superfett label – the sublabel to his Mother Recordings imprint – which has really got tongues wagging in these here parts of late. Theirs is a sultry tech house sound we’re very confident you’ll be hearing much more from some. We caught up with the lads recently to find out some of their favourite afterparty joints. And they didn’t disappoint….
Maya Jane Coles – What They Say
What can we say!? This is just a classic and a must-have for every good afterparty.
Bicep – Glue
The first Bicep track we’ve selected is “Glue”. It’s also a classic and such an amazing tune, we can’t get enough of it. It works every time.
BICEP – Atlas
The second Bicep track we opted for here is “Atlas”. What can we say, we ADORE this track so much. I can’t even tell you how often we’ve listened to this track!
Booka Shade – Line of Fire
This was one of our favourite tunes at the time, and since we’re absolute into Booka Shade we had to include one of their tracks. A big inspiration for us both.
Keinemusik – Muye
This track is so full of emotion, that nobody can resist to dance when it plays.
Butch – Bliss
We’ve still never heard a track which used a melody from a film in such a way. Every time this one comes on we nearly come to tears. It’s that good!
Rebuke – Rattle
If the after gets a bit more rowdy, we’ll play this one. Rebuke is such a wizard when it comes to hard hitting tunes and this one just slapps! Definitely an artist worth familiarizing yourself with!
FJAAK – Version 1.3.3.1
We just discovered this one, but it’s just so unbelievably well made that we had to include it. The FJAAK guys are really awesome producers.
Max Chapman, Kodewerk – Dusk
This one just came out last week, and we heard Danny Howard play it on his show. It’s such a great breakbeat-esque track. We love it so much.
David Jackson – Breakthrough
Finally we had to include this amazing track by an amazing producer. It’s our favourite David Jackson track. What’s more, David is a lovely dude that makes amazing tunes. Be sure to check him out.
