Back To Mine with Elad Magdasi

1. Josh Wink – How is Your Evening So Far

My absolute alltime favorite. Sampled from Lil Louis – French Kiss, then grooved up and mixed into this masterpiece.
I have to keep myself from playing it so I don’t abuse it on the floor, but most of the times I can’t help myself. It just works so well.

2. Marmion – Schöneberg

An amazing creation by Mijk Van Dijk & Marcos López. Mijk is one of my favorite producers. Feels like a love song of sorts, the melody touches me deeply and it’s forever a hymn for me. I miss tracks like that which tell a long story, change and develop. Oldskool for life.

Marmion - Schöneberg (Original Mix)

3. Moby – Lift Me Up

One of the songs I listened to the most. Moby is one of my favorite artists, he is such a mastermind. This one is not so electronic but very driving and I always feel a sense of unity when I hear it.

4. Adam Beyer & Jesper Dahlback – Number in Between

The groove and melody combination on this one are so good. I have seen this track lifts dancefloor both from the DJ angle and as a dancer.

5. Holden – A Break In The Clouds

A magical piece by James Holden. The synths are hugging my ears, I really like how calming and beautiful the harmonics are.
Feels like you are in an aquarium, floating around – swimming among the musical notes.

6. Grace – Not Over Yet

Another song that I’ll never let go of (or stop playing). Her voice is angelic and the melody is so catchy. Fits to the “track before last” on my sets 🙂

Grace Not Over Yet [Perfecto Mix]

7. Monika Kruse – Luvsuck

Oldskool to the max. I love those synths so much, it feels like they power through from the depth of the earth upwards, lifting me up. This is such love parade vibes for me (even though I wasn’t physically there) it takes me back.

Monika Kruse @ Voodooamt - Luvsucka

8. The Presets – This Boy’s In Love

I love this duo and used to listen to this song when I was 20 or so, a lot! I love electronic pop songs that use similar drum patterns that come from house/techno.

The Presets - This Boy's In Love

9. CJ Bolland – Camargue

Another alltime favorite. You know how couples have a song that is “their song”? So me and my husband have this as “our song”.
He produced this track when he was 21! Back in 1992 – that’s so amazing.

CJ Bolland - Camargue [1992]

10. Kai Tracid – Liquid Skies

My favorite trance anthem of all times. The voice is so dramatic and the melody is dreamy, yet driving. This also is one of those tracks which go to different places, up down, left right – it’s a joy to listen to and especially to dance to it !

Various Artists – Acid Analects Vol. 1 (Aquaregia)

Italian artist Nicola Dal Sacco has worked under myriad aliases for many different labels. He mixes up techno, dub and trance in bold new forms and opens this essential new series with ‘Calorica,’ an old school and squelching 303 workout. The sleek pads keep you on edge as the powerful drums ensure maximum impact on the dance floor. Berlin-based Elad Magdasi is the boss of Front Left Records and someone who has a fresh techno sound that combines new and old. He presents the superb ‘Robotricks’, a dark and hypnotic trip decorated with wispy acid. It has rib-rattling kick drums and plenty of subtle effects to keep you locked. On the b-side is Canadian 747, a label regular well known for his eight-track Paleo series and widely acclaimed Aurora Centralis EP. This acid techno mainstay brings a fast and furious bassline on ‘Domain Expansion’. Above that, bright rave synths fire across the track while warmer pads bring the soul. Australian artist DJ Huntsman closes out the release with the excellent ‘Planet Psygon,’.
