Back To Mine with Kodem

Petit Biscuit – Sunset Lover (Clarian Remix)

I can listen to this remix a 1000 times and never get sick of it. It takes me to a dreamy beach that I never want to leave.

Evigt Morker – Hogre

I am sucker for dreamy spaces and environments. This track has a smoothness and ethereal quality that is impossible to describe in words.

A perfect collage of samples and melody. These guys always craft unique cuts that can be listened to endlessly.

Boards of Canada – Left Side Drive

I love how they can make all their tracks sound like they are coming from an old VHS player.

Air – La Femme D’Argent

If the 60’s was an ultimate future reality Air would be ruling that world.

Monolake – Indigo

Experimental gem. Plus they have the coolest band name ever.

Prototype 909 – Believe

A 90’s rave classic. Acid in it’s purest form.

Brian Eno – Thursday Afternoon

This 60 minute song is more of a landscape than a song.

Kettenkarussell – Maybe

This is a staple in my collection for a long time and never gets old. Pure goodness.

Kodem – Vault Lines EP (incl. Truncate Remix) (Kodem Music)

Kodem launches his Kodem Music imprint with three resounding cuts entitled ‘Vault Lines’ EP including a remix from techno powerhouse Truncate. Hailing from the electronic music scene of San Francisco, Kodem debuts on his self-titled label unveiling his ethereal and rhythmic production style after several years of grafting in the studio. His self-titled imprint kicks off proceedings with three original cuts layered with deep, emotive atmospheres which includes a remix from LA techno artist and prolific remixer, Truncate who has a handful of outstanding releases on 50Weapons, Mote-Evolver and his self-titled imprint. ‘Vault Lines’ EP is the first out of a consistent set of releases on Kodem Music for 2019 which will include further remixes from Lucy and many other heavyweight producers. ‘Vault Lines’ gets things rolling with hypnotising pads, resonating kicks and floaty oscillations before Truncate’s remix of ‘Vault Lines’ delivers shuffling percussion and alleviating tones fusing together to create an exquisite atmosphere throughout. Deep riding grooves, euphonious leads and tranquilising sound design take the focus in ‘Angles Form’ until ‘Point Crossed’ finishes things off with transcending oscillations, shimmering synth flutters and melancholy ambience.
Kodem ‘Vault Lines’ EP drops out now.
