From such a creative period in House music. Back when the samples were raw. This track combined what I loved about both House and Hip Hop at the time.

I already knew Luther was badass but when I heard his voice on this track I was blown away by how perfectly it sits in a House groove. Class!

When Jazzanova’s In Between album came out, they had already been smashing it with their remixes, so the expectation was high and this opening track is just epic.
Gil Scott Heron & Brian Jackson – We Almost Lost Detroit – Arista
First heard this in a club in Austria in the mid 90s. Not a club tune at all, but it made me seek out the album which became my favourite Gil and Brian release to this day.
