Bo Saris – She’s On Fire

Blue by LaTour

One of my all time favourite movies is “Basic Instinct”
The song Blue by LaTour is probably better known from the bathroom club scene in Basic Instinct. In case you’re wondering, the first song in that club scene is called “Rave, The Rhythm” by Channel X.

Reelow & Paco Wegmann – Blaster (Desolat)

After an unforgettable outing on Desolat last summer with his ‘High You Feel’ EP, Reelow is now back with more brilliance, this time in collaboration with the highly rated Paco Wegmann. Like label boss Loco Dice, Barcelona based Reelow grew up on hip hop but started making club music a decade ago. Since then he has always evolved and taken in techno, soul and breakbeats. His last EP here got high profile support from the key players and now he works with German born, Romanian raised Paco Wegmann. He’s fast become a real source of house gold thanks to heavily played and club rocking tunes on Hot Creations, Hottrax and elrow, amongst others, and is a fine foil for Reelow. First out of the blocks is ‘Blaster’, which is a hard hitting track with powerful kick drums that cannot fail to make crowds move. The even more powerful ‘My Way’ is a fantastically physical track with the chunkiest drums imaginable and last of all ‘Your Body’ brings the flair with restless percussion, vocal stabs and acid rave energy that will leave you breathless.
