Back To Mine with Thousand Fingers

“Imagine we met at this great party and the night led to my crib for an after. These are the sounds that you could potentially hear …”

Thousand Fingers is the nom de plume of up-and-coming London-based producer/sound designer Hakan Ozkan. Over the past few years he has dropped a series of successful tracks and remixes. His musical journey rises to the next level with his latest sound, “Je T’aime,” a bumpin’ disco-house jam that was out on 21 November.

1. The Carry Nation – The Queens

Have mixed feelings for this song. The way they used that percussion loop is very catchy and the chords are so there. It has a great uplifting feeling.

The Carry Nation - The Queens

2. Elliot Adamson – No Chill

This guy’s approach to music production is so unique. The manipulation of sounds, song forms, and the instrumentation is really creative. No Chill is my favourite from his releases so far.

PREMIERE: Elliot Adamson - No Chill [Me Me Me]

3. BiGz – Andalucia (Dave Pad Remix)

I simply love this track and its mood. That percussion sound gets me from the first beat and the pads are waow, so fluent. The bass melody that comes in the long break … it gives an emotional release. Preferably, better to listen a bit faster than its original tempo.

4. Mulya – Vapour

The mighty Chuck Norris of nights. You don’t actually listen the track; it penetrates into your head.

5. Niconé – ISKO ISKO

This song is like an all-you-can-eat brunch, where you can go creative and put everything in one plate. It contains a mix of nutrition that all your soul needs. Soulful vocals, groovy drums, and trippy sounds … Very nice.

Niconé: ISKO ISKO / Out 16.08.2019

6. Crawford – We Go Back (Brame & Hamo Remix)

Inspiring tune! It injects a bit of hope and courage under your skin. Giving the “I can do it” feeling.

7. Art Alfie – Downstreamed (Mount Liberation Unlimited Ethereal Teen Dream Version)

“Close your eyes” kind of tune. Sounds better when lying down on the floor. However, tell before doing it otherwise that might look a bit awkward.

Art Alfie - Downstreamed (Mount Liberation Unlimited Ethereal Teen Dream Version)

8. Marcellus & Dub Healy – Mama (Original Mix)

I would call this as another clever production, simple but effective. It pulls you into its own world when the first vocal kicks in… if the amazon rainforest meets with the Sahara desert, this song would be a section that they blend into each other.

9. Liam Geddes – Song For New

Well, it has a very characteristic sound and really liking its mood. Feels like morning breeze on skin, so smooth but chills to the bone.

10. Linkwood – Fresh Gildans

This song is a peaceful form of a volcanic eruption. Spinning it while the sun is coming up … it is a moment.
