Back To Mine with Yves V

Rob Dougan – Clubbed to Death

A certified 90’s classic that has been sampled and covered a million times over but that piano line gives me instant memories of classic clubbing. One that so many dance fans will recognise, and a perfect way to kick-off the afterparty thanks to the atmospherics that then join into a pumping classic!

Air – All I Need

This track from their ‘Moon Safari’ album can be played anywhere from a mainstage festival on a sunny afternoon, over to winding down a set or chilling out at the afterparty – perfect for when the crew need a break from the dancefloor.

Deadmau5 – Strobe (10:36)

It wouldn’t be an afterparty – or even any party – without some classic Deadmau5. The extended (10:36) version is a masterpiece that doesn’t rush, at first making you wonder where its gonna go before it explodes into a synth-heavy anthem that brings together progressive and early EDM. One of the best he’s ever done, for sure.

Max Richter – On the Nature Of Daylight

I’m a big fan of how Max can bring modern day and old-school, classical styles together. From the composition that sounds straight out of a movie score, over to slowly adding stings and more elements as the track continues on, it’s an emotional one for sure.

Michael Forzza – Kahana

Not much to say on this one except it’s a weapon on the dancefloor, and for when the beers continue flowing back at home. So many good memories with this one that has as unforgettable melody and an amazing wiggling bassline.

Julien Jabre – Swimming Places

A huge house anthem on Defected, ‘Swimming Places’ takes that house sound that just gets the whole place rocking from start to finish and has something for everyone: twinkling keys, a two-step ready beat and hands-in-the-air moments.

Saint Germain – I Want You To Get Together

As soon as those Jazz-inspired drums start everyone knows in the audience knows exactly where this one is going and once that vocal comes in, its game over! French house at its greatest.

Goose – Synrise

A fellow Belgian on this one, Goose’s sound gets you pumped and ready to turn the party back up! Epic synth-pop on this one.

Pachanga Boys – Time

An emotive track that still gets feet tapping with rising synths and a melancholic but happy way to bring an evening to a close.

Pachanga - Boys Time

Daan – Housewife (instrumental)

Another fellow Belgian here that treads between the excitable, with an edge of production that leans towards a harder style with rapid pumps and a galactic-feeling melody – impossible not to dance to and one to keep the ravers up all night!

Daan - Death Of A Housewife (Allegretto In C Minor)

Yves V, Corsak And Leony ‘Where Do You Think You Are Going’

Speeding through 2021 with the force of a supernova, Tomorrowland mainstage resident Yves V has continued to dazzle with his prolific studio output. From collaborations with Steve Aoki, Hugel and Dubdogz, over to multi-million-streamed solo hits, he’s now back on fine form and bringing along CORSAK and Leony for the ride on ‘Where Do You Think You Are Going’.
CORSAK has shot into the stratosphere over the past three years, amassing over 2.5 billion streams as a leading electronic artist flying the flag in Asia. Signing to Liquid State, the electronic joint venture between Sony Music & Tencent Music in early 2018, CORSAK’S debut single ‘Reverse’ (溯) has since gone on to be streamed over 2 billion times globally, further heading up the QQMusic and Douyin (TokTok) charts in his native region.
Now, coming together with Leony, (a vocal wonder with over 230 million streams, having worked previously with the likes of Dimitri Vegas, Alan Walker, VIZE and more), the trio tag-team with a musical, electronic-driven finesse for their first collaboration together. A merger of East meets West, ‘Where Do You Think You Are Going’ instantly captivates thanks to Leony’s soaring topline “We can push the limit you and I/ You be first, I’ll be ice” splicing through the rising, deep tones of house that then explodes into feel-good territory. Surging with emotion thanks to CORSAK’s key-dominant melody that sets the pace for Leony’s story to elevate, all three artists bring together the perfect radio-ready sound to sign out of the Summer season.
Polished, primed and sure to get hips shaking as ‘Where Do You Think You Are Going’ gets set for world domination, make sure you get your hands on the huge new release from Y ves V & Corsak feat. Leony, out this September only via Sony Music/ Liquid State!
