Prince – Something In The Water Does Not Compute
1999 – I have been listening to this album since the day it came out. Prince screams like a banshee and that synth sound does it for me. There are so many favorite prince songs but today i choose this one.

Can – Halleluwah – Tago Mago
Gruff rhys turned me on to this song on tour. We were pulling out of boston bumping this super loud stoned out of our minds after kicking a few porn stars off the tour bus. Sounds so rock and roll right? it was a good moment and every time i hear it good memories come back.

Radiohead – There, There – Hail To The Theif
This song is absolutely the perfect formula for a song. it is very passive aggressive and just moves so well from driving intro to the build to another build in the end. it gets me every time.

Willie Nelson – Opportunity To Cry – Demo Sessions
I have a demo of this track and it sounds like he is in your living room practicing it. Reminds me of my childhood. My father is a huge fan, like father like son.
Roberto Cacciapaglia – Sei Note Logica
I only own a cassette tape version of this track. It is absolutely one of the most moving and interesting pieces i have ever heard.ÊIt is such a lovely piece of work.

808 State – Pacific 202 – 90
This is truly the anthem to my college years. I just remember trying to blend this on some broken turntables with that “la-da-di-da-di-da” track. I had no clue!

Grizzly Bear – Knife – Yellow House
I know this is a new track and should not be an all time favorite yet, but damn. This track is gorgeous. Such a perfect slow dance track.

Ralph Tresvant – Sensitivity – Ralph Tresvant
This was the bump in high school. I used to listen to this cassette single driving around in my sisters car.Ê it was what I used to sex girls up on prom night.

Beta Evers – Destination Lost – Unknown
Dark and nasty electronic music that will scare your parents. Classic.

Neutral Milk Hotel – The King Of Carrot Flowers Pts. 1, 2, 3
In an aeroplane over the sea – Jeff Magnum is hands down the best lyricist on the planet. This song is so poetic that it means something new to me every time I hear it.

David Bowie – Modern Love – Let’s Dance
I can’t help to move listening to this. Perfect pop formula and such a swing to make you move and strut down the street. It still gets played in my DJ sets.

Boston – More Than A Feeling – Boston
Do I really have to explain why this track is amazing? Where does his voice end and the guitars begin?

BOOM BIP ‘SACCHRILEGE EP’ out soon on Lex Records.
