Jason Busteed

Jason Busteed is a DJ and producer based out of the city of Cork, Ireland. With over twenty year’s worth of DJing experience now behind him, Busteed has proven himself to be one of the finest selectors in the south of Ireland. Having previously being one half of natural angle and signed to the likes of Flashmob records Lefty Shades and the iconic King Street Sounds, Jason has since gone solo and managed with only his first release to break into the Beatport top 100, with a high place of 7, Then going on to a Beatport Number 1 DeepHouse Release with his ‘Inversions Ep’ on His own Imprint Lefty Shades Records and again Number 2 in the Beatport deep house release chart again this time with his 2 track release on made crazy music, DICA, Influenced by some of the industry’s biggest legends, Busteed’s formative years were soundtracked by the likes of Masters at Work, Frankie Knuckles and Armand van Helden and a future in house music was always likely to be on the cards.

Having established himself in his hometown, Busteed looked abroad to push himself on to the next step of his DJing career. Naturally, his gaze landed on Ibiza, the Mecca of house music, where he has managed to play in some of the island’s most iconic locations, including Café Mambo, Bora Bora Beach, Ocean Drive and at the prestigious end of season DJ Awards. In 2015, Jason was the winner of the Breakthrough Bedroom DJ competition where he was picked from over five hundred worldwide entrants. He has also regularly featured on Pioneer DJ Radio, recording four guest mixes.

At home, Busteed has also become a regular on the festival circuit, with well-received performances at Indiependence and Townlands Festival likely to pave the way for more festival appearances this year and beyond. Jason is also currently a resident DJ for Suas Bar, one of Cork’s most popular venues. During his many and varied gigs, Busteed has shared lineups with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Eats Everything, Solardo, Flashmob and Josh Butler & Brame & Hamo to name but a few.
