01. Mandrill – Ape is High
That is some funky shit right there.
02. Cymande – Brothers on the Slide
One of the gretest funk riffs of all time. We did a version for the clubs which sadly wasn’t as good as this original
03. Big Daddy Kane – Warm it Up Kane
Now that’s what I call hip hop, Vol. 1 Track 1. Unbeatable.
04. Incredible Bongo Band – Satisfaction
Quirky take on the Stones classic. You can’t be too serious when the clubs over.
05. IKON – The Dove
A modern chill classic. This captured a lot of peoples imagination when it came out a few years back
06. Mohawks – Champ
We’ve been lucky enough to work with Alan Hawkshaw, the Sixties keyboard legend who wrote this track. Alan we salute you.
07. Brian Bennett – Boogie Juice
The tightest drum chops known to mankind. No drum machine or computer could ever come close to the tight swing groove as played by Sir Brian Bennett aka god.
08. Skeewiff – Man of Constant Sorrow (Kraak & Smaak remix)
Send the Kraakers a cover of a country record for them to funk up instead they drop some Indian vibes on it and send us back a downtempo sitar-laced freakout. Just brilliant.
09. Stereotyp – Keepin’ Me
The best modern electronic soul record in years.
10. Rufus & Chaka Khan – Ain’t Nobody
The tune to end the night. Always.
Skeewiff ‘The Lost Masters EP’ is out now on Jalapeno Records.
