A huge welcome back to DMCWORLD! What inspired your latest collaboration with Rosewall and TOSZ?

Great to be here again! Well, as Covid-19 has forced us to enter into new reality where events are cancelled for an uncertain period of time, our refugee is the music and this situation allow us to connect with other professionals and share ideas, cross paths and evolve. This project is all about that, a producer from Dubai, a Poland singer based in Frankfurt and me working together to create something unique.

How did your relationship with Rosewall and TOSZ come about?

I recently discover TOSZ’s work, and immediately I fell in love with his vocal in one of his songs titled ‘Coração.’ I contacted him, and both agreed to work on a collaboration. Around that time, I went to Dubai to play for two weeks and worked on a musical arrangement with Rosewall. Instantly, WHO was born.

How would you describe the music style and ethos of Redolent Music?

We won’t put boundaries. Redolent stands for sophisticated and modern Electronic music. Everything between house music and melodic techno sounds where indie-dance infusion, deep tribal, organic drums, evocative rhythms, and suggestive vocals are the core.

What first inspired you to get into the music industry?

I have found memories from my childhood with my father playing vinyl records at our living room, Earth Wind and Fire, Donna Summer, Chicago, The Beatles, Sade or Cerrone to name but a few. He was a vinyl collector and from my very early days music was everything to me.

Who inspired you to start making music?

I always say that Djing and music productions are like Ying and Yang, two faces of the same coin. I am a DJ first, and making my own music was challenging but an essential part of my career. The artists who challenged me to start producing in the first place were D-Formation and David Penn. I learned a lot from them back in the days.

What does your average studio session look like?

I spend a lot of time working on what I consider the essential part, the foundation of the track, to find the perfect kick drum and bassline, to create a solid low-end frequency and the right groove that makes you move. Then, music elements, melodies, harmonies, and vocals.

Who would you most like to collaborate with?

My nowadays heroes are Andre Lodemann, Rampa, Adam Port, Floyd Lavine, Hyenah, CIOZ, Innellea or Whomadewho to name but a few

What would your ideal lineup be?

Damian Lazarus, Lee Burridge, Bedouin, Black Coffee, Hosh, not in particular order

How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?

Massive impact, it changes the game completely, now it is not only all about the music, its all about how to market it.

Which skills do you think are essential to focus on when you’re first starting out as a music producer?

Authenticity, to create something recognizable and be able to transmit it to your audience.
