Fairouz  – Habbaitak Be El Saif

This is an Arabic classic from the Legendary Lebanese singer Fairouz, this track resembles some vague but happy memories of my childhood when my dad used to play this in his office. Fairouz is the ultimate vibes.

Bicep – Lido

Bicep will always be in my listening rotation no matter what, I am such a huge fan of their music and their work is nothing but inspiring. Lido is one of those tracks that I can put on, close my eyes and be introspective. Those beautiful melodies give me goosebumps every time I listen to it. This track has been an inspiration to my latest release ‘Implode’ on Volta Records.

Kanye West – Lost In The World

This might be a bit controversial, but it is undeniably a genius track and among Kanye’s best work ever. Every aspect of this song resonates with me—from the emotions it conveys to the groove and vocals. It truly stands out as a special collaboration between Kanye and Bon Iver.

Hamood Al Sema – Al Zaeem (The Boss)

This is an Arabic cult classic from Yemen. I got sent this recently by a friend and I cannot stop listening to this. I get a lot of inspiration from music like this, especially with its rich and heavy grooves. The Oud is truly a versatile instrument and Hamood is a master of the Oud. This is something I love to listen to when I am driving as it gives me joy and brings the Arab in me out.

Above & Beyond – Sun & Moon

Stands as an all-time greatest trance record. It holds a special place in my heart as a true tear-jerker. This track, in particular, played a pivotal role in reigniting my deep passion for trance music.

Kid Cudi – Pursuit Of Happiness

Another teenage classic for me. I still enjoy listening to and singing along with this track while driving, cooking, or cleaning. It has been a significant inspiration for me, leading me to create a remix that’s been lighting up the dance floor, much like the original did 14 years ago.

Hans Zimmer – Coward

I have been listening to a lot of Hans Zimmer lately and I was having a hard time picking one score from his music. ‘Coward’ won it for me although it is not his most popular score from the movie ‘Interstellar’ (which is one of my all time favorite movies) yet a memorable one for me. When that Organ melody hits I feel like I am elevated into another dimension. This is another one that really inspires me when I am making music. I have recently made a track inspired by that melody.

Daft Punk – Da Funk

Da Funk stands the test of time, it still sounds fresh to this day. I love putting on my Daft Punk Homework vinyl and immersing myself into this music. Daft Punk was my introduction into electronic music, so their music will always have a special place in my heart.

Post Malone, Swae Lee – Sunflower

A soundtrack from my all-time favorite movie, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. A track that is hard to not love from a movie that is even harder not to love.

Faithless – Not Going Home (Eric Prydz Remix)

Saving the best for last, this combination of artists significantly influenced my current music taste. While Insomnia is a usual favorite, the Eric Prydz Remix stole the show for me. I continue to include this track in my sets, and people often inquire if it’s an ID, as it still sounds fresh. Rest in power, Maxi Jazz.
