C.K and all his revolving friends have become an obsession for me, and I feel like I need to collect every one of their releases. 3.11 is C.K’s alias for ambient music, and this one is my favorites of his. So soothing!
Arcade Fire – Funeral
This song was so representing of my youth that I tattooed it on my chest. Obviously an all time favorite!
Gwendoline – Après, C’est Gobelet!
Probably the album I spinned the most at home for the last 3 years. A band from my city who just signed with Born Bad Records!
Klaus Schulze – Angst
Everyone should have a Klaus Schulze album at home. This original soundtrack of the movie with the same name is my personal favorite. Definitely sets the mood when you’re beginning a home party.
Doc Gynéco – Première Consultation
The first album I ever owned. A timeless masterpiece for every French hip-hop fan.
Philippe Guerre – Cristal
The story around this album and how it was made obsessed me so much that I did everything I could to find Philippe Guerre and thank him for this masterpiece, with no success unfortunately.
Barker – Utility
I cannot get enough of this album and this song in particular. I think Barker is a musical genius; his drumless techno is something else, I also encourage anyone to look at the video and see the story behind it, it’s the cherry on the cake.
Erika de Casier – Essentials
Pretty straightforward R&B, yet very rich and complex. The aesthetics, the collaborations, the vibes; I fell in love with this album at first sight and still follows everything she released since.
