Back To Mine With DJ Psychiatre

With initial appearances on prestigious labels such as Shall Not Fade and Pont Neuf, DJ Psychiatre has made his mark on France’s electronic music scene in recent years. Now, he is set to release a new opus titled ‘Glad To Be Back’, which serves as a joyful return to the Parisian label, Pont Neuf. DMCWorld goes Back To Mine with DJ Psychiatre.

Huerco S – For Those Of You Who Have Never (And Also For Those Who Have)

The first album which introduced me to ambient from an artist I used to follow for other kind of electronic music. A special place in my collection and I always come back to this.

Four Tet – There Is Love In You

It’s never not a good time for spinning a Four Tet album. This one is my favorites, but I could honestly have picked any of his albums.

Four Tet - Angel Echoes

3.11 – Dissolve In Patience

C.K and all his revolving friends have become an obsession for me, and I feel like I need to collect every one of their releases. 3.11 is C.K’s alias for ambient music, and this one is my favorites of his. So soothing!

Arcade Fire – Funeral

This song was so representing of my youth that I tattooed it on my chest. Obviously an all time favorite!

Arcade Fire - Rebellion (Lies) (Official Audio)

Gwendoline – Après, C’est Gobelet!

Probably the album I spinned the most at home for the last 3 years. A band from my city who just signed with Born Bad Records!

Gwendoline - Chevalier Ricard (LE KARAOKE OFFICIEL)

Klaus Schulze – Angst

Everyone should have a Klaus Schulze album at home. This original soundtrack of the movie with the same name is my personal favorite. Definitely sets the mood when you’re beginning a home party.

Klaus Schulze - Pain

Doc Gynéco – Première Consultation

The first album I ever owned. A timeless masterpiece for every French hip-hop fan.

Doc Gyneco - Passement de jambes (Audio officiel)

Philippe Guerre – Cristal

The story around this album and how it was made obsessed me so much that I did everything I could to find Philippe Guerre and thank him for this masterpiece, with no success unfortunately.

Philippe Guerre - Piano Sur La Mer

Barker – Utility

I cannot get enough of this album and this song in particular. I think Barker is a musical genius; his drumless techno is something else, I also encourage anyone to look at the video and see the story behind it, it’s the cherry on the cake.

Erika de Casier – Essentials

Pretty straightforward R&B, yet very rich and complex. The aesthetics, the collaborations, the vibes; I fell in love with this album at first sight and still follows everything she released since.

Erika de Casier - What u Wanna Do?

DJ Psychiatre ‘Glad To Be Back EP’ will be released April 19th on Pont Neuf Records.
