Blur – Song 2

The story is simple, my parents bought my first Playstation for Christmas. Bundle with FIFA 98, ‘Song 2’ was the opening game screen track in the background, so basically it’s been with me for an entire year and still every time I hear that song it immediately reminds me of that fantastic childhood period.

Danny Elfman – Ice Dance

I’m big fan of Orchestral music and listen to lot of soundtracks anytime I’m travelling or just want to have a break from 4/4 hard beats. Danny Elfman is one of my favourite composers and I also love the movie ‘Edward Scissorhands’ and basically all Tim Burton stuff, easy to choose this jam as one of my favourite tracks ever.

Eiffel 65 – Blue

This track is basically the reason why I fell in love with dance music. I remember I was a 9 year old child waiting for  hours in front of my tv just to watch the videoclip of this track on MTV. When, years later, we met the Eiffel 65 guys and collaborated with the singer Jeffrey and Gabry on some of our recent tracks for me it was like a little dream coming true.

Offspring – Why You Don’t Get A Job

‘Americana’ by Offspring was basically my first ever cd, I’m never been an ‘alternative punk/rock’ guy but I loved so much that album and especially the single ‘Why you don’t get a job’. It’s still in my library and I often press play to feel those vibes again.

Art Of Trance – Madagascar (Richard Durand Remix) 2009

I’ve been a trance music lover for a long time and still I am, this remix of ‘Madagascar’ by Richard Durand was played live by Tiësto at my first festival ever on 2009 and for me that was an absolute love at first listen. Then I started my first tech-trance productions.

Mauro Picotto – Komodo

This song reminds me when I started DJing; I was only 16 and the main lead synths still keep enchanting me nowadays reminding me about the amazing feelings I had playing as a DJ even for a small crowd of 50/100 people.

Corona – The Rhythm Of The Night

Definitely my first contact with the dance floor. It reminds me when I used watching DJs playing music for hours trying to understand how they could do so many amazing things with just two turntables and a small mixer. I was only 10 years old.

Limahl – Never Ending Story

Written by one of my all time favourite producers Giorgio Moroder. I discovered the song thanks to my dad that asked me to watch the ‘Never ending story’ movie; it was pure love at first sight that did lead me to discover the synth-pop / new wave music of the period. Pure magic!

Coldplay – A Sky Full Of Stars

I used to listen to pop and pop/rock music since I was a kid and Coldplay have always been in my top 3. This song is for me one of the best examples of pop music meeting dance music creating such a magic anthem (since Avicii collaborated to produce the song as well).

Bee Gees – Stayin’ Alive

I was not even born when this song was released but after watching Saturday night fever movie (probably I was only 6/7 years old) I fallen in love with the whole disco music world; music I discovered many years after it was released but that’s even the power of music: it stands forever.
