Caracas-born Jose Luis has established himself as one of Europe’s leading Latin DJs and events promoters during the last two decades. He pioneered the urban Latin movement in Europe in the early noughties with its largest reggaetón club night, La Bomba at the Ministry of Sound, taking it Europe in what would become the very first reggaetón residency in Pacha, Ibiza.
Now with his residency at London’s largest reggaeton and house party, VIVA Reggaeton, Jose is also one of founders of Candela Records, under the umbrella of Warner Music & Atlantic Records’ ADA alliance, and their new release ‘Hot Steppa” by Angelo Flow & J Spades is released today…
1. “Gato de Noche” – Ñengo Flow & Bad Bunny
Bad Bunny’s latest club banger alongside reggaeton OG Ñengo Flow and already a classic.
2. “Punto G” – Quevedo
Spain’s first real global reggaeton artist, on the back of the Bizarap studio sessions. He’s also just released his first full album with “Punto G” being the first hi.
3. “Music Session 53” – BZRP & Shakira
Piqué’s diss song is already being played everywhere and Bizarap shows no sign of slowing down!
4. “Cumpleanos Cumpleaños Ferxxo” – Feid
Already being described as the next J Balvin, Feid is simply killing at the moment and this birthday song will be played in every latino party for years to come
5. “X si Volvemos” – Ka’rol G & Romeo Santos
Romeo Santos is Colombia’s biggest urban music export and Karol G joins forces with the king of Bachata on this massive tune.
6. “Friki” – Karol G & Feid
The two most popular reggaetoneros from Colombia get together for what is one of the most requested songs in many latin clubs at the moment.
7. “Me Porto Bonito” – Bad Bunny & Cehcho Corleone
From Bad Bunny’s album and DJs and audiences can’t get enough of this song. BB’s laidback flow and his lower tone matches perfectly with Chencho’s high pitched vocals. This is the epitome of a great reggaeton song.
8. “Los Pobres y Los Ricos” – El Alfa & Rochy RD
The Dominican Republic’s biggest urban artists get together for the first time ever on this tune. Big club track.
9. “De Carolina” – Raw Alejandro & DJ Playero
The next global latino star goes back to his roots to collaborate with the creator of what we call reggaeton, DJ Playero, and the result is an update on the old school sound. Banging.
10. “Despecha” – Rosalia
The Spanish princess delivers a merengue song that nobody was expecting. Great hook, nice beat, 100% danceable, what’s not to like?
