Why is Ibiza still the best party location in the world?
“It’s definitely one of the best places – perhaps because it doesn’t have a cynical vibe as people just got to Ibiza with a positive and open attitude. Luckily we’re in a position to travel to a lot of great party places around the world that have similar amazing vibes.”
Ibiza is now split straight down the middle with serious DJs spinning quality house and techno on one side, and DJs playing the big room bangers on the other. Discuss…
“I don’t think there’s good and bad in music, it’s all a matter of taste, and it’s good to see everyone is being served. Big room probably doesn’t make it to my iPod though.”
What new party caused the biggest splash in their debut summer this year? And why?
“I really enjoyed playing Malaputa Rock at Space this year.”
Favourite restaurant and beach in Ibiza?
“Favorite restaurant would be La Paloma in San Lorenzo, and favourite beach Cala Xuclar.”
Do you think the 123 Rocktronic Festival that featured the likes of Lenny Kravitz, Elton John, Sting, David Guetta and Tiesto this year is an important addition to the Ibiza summer, or do you think it is a case of one too many party on an already bulging season?
“It’s a nice addition, also to serve all those people who go to Ibiza for the quiet side of the island and not just to party all night. There’s so much more to the Island and this might serve a different range of people.”
What is the one record that will always remind you of Ibiza…?
“Cassius – ‘Sound Of Violence’.”
Best venue in Ibiza and why?
“Gotta be Space…”
What nationality are the craziest people on the dance floor?
“Anyone from the UK or Ireland. They don’t need to get into the mood for hours first – they straight away run onto dance floors. We love ’em.”
Breakthrough artist of 2012?
“The Sneekers.”
If you had to pick one person to go out clubbing with in Ibiza, who would it be?
“Bootsy Collins, dressed up as usual. Party ’till the funk comes up…!”

“A combination of being young, skipping sleep, meeting freaks, and playing our favourite records.”
