Growing up on the outskirts of Chicago, Eric Welton, aka Emmaculate, was exposed to the sounds of House Music in the late 80’s as a young teenager and went on to hone his craft as a DJ and producer through the 90’s. Emmaculate has produced songs and remixes on labels such as 300 Ent., T’s Box, Mirror Ball (in which he is a partner with Terry Hunter), Ultra, Helix, Yoruba, Nervous, Reel People, Dopewax, Z Records and more. He has beeen nominated for a Grammy 3 years in a row – as a producer on the Ten City album, ‘Judgement’ (2021), a mix engineer on Beyoncé ‘Break My Soul (Terry Hunter Remix)’ (2022), and Mariah Carey ‘Workin’ Hard (Terry Hunter Remix)’ (2023). His remix of Robin S ‘Show Me Love’ was the #1 selling record of 2022 on Traxsource, and his remix of Mary J. Blige’s ‘Good Morning Gorgeous’ was the #3 Afro House record of 2022. The success continued into 2023 with Emmaculate remixing artists such as Incognito, Roy Ayers and Barbara Tucker, as well as originals that landed him a spot in the Top 20 Artists on Traxsource once again. As a DJ, Emmaculate has played notable events such as the revered Chosen Few Picnic & Festival in Chicago, Amsterdam Dance Event, SXSW in Austin, Miami Music Week, Suncebeat in Croatia, Mi Casa Holiday in Mexico, and Charivari in Detroit.
