Trainspotting with Jesse Leer

Seattle native DJ/Producer, Jesse Leer likes to take the dance floor on a journey through the land of 4/4 – whether it be through a melodic, minimal groove or rich, bouncy tech. Having featured on c.895’s “The Vortex” and supported performers like CODES, LondonBridge and Fritz Carlton at some of Seattle’s biggest clubs, Jesse is one of the pied pipers of the scene bringing out all the party crews as Resident of notorious Seattle squad Studio 4/4, behind some of the city’s best parties, and is Resident of the Monkey Loft.

Jesse’s releases are featured on many esteemed labels including Golf Clap’s Country Club Disco, Feral One and Music Is 4 Lovers, to name a few, as he continues to evolve his own crisp sound that reflects electro, breaks, and acid. Not one to put a label on his styles, Jesse keeps it eclectic weaving through melodic, minimal grooves to rich, bouncy tech. Inspired by artists such as Detroit’s Terrence Parker, UK band, The Rurals, and many other deep house artists, Jesse loves to channel the raw energy of the early house sounds. DMCWorld goes Trainspotting with Jesse Leer.

Acid Kids – Heartfelt (Original) – Deeperfect

Filled with that adventurous sound, this one is an absolute slammer.

Acid Kids - Hearfelt (Original Mix)

Coco Bryce – Trust Issues (Original) Computer Love

One of my absolute favourite artists right now. The underground sounds really play a part in my tracks and this guy is the best of ‘em.

Baby Rollen – Love Potion (Original Mix) – Slump Recordings

The old school sound in this track really gets me going. Love what Baby Rollen has been doing and really cool stuff.

Cignol – Translucent (Original) – Misaligned Logic

With the more electro-sounding palette, Cignol absolutely crushes this track. One of my all-time favourites.

SouthStar – Luna (Original) Columbia/B1 Recordings/Southstar

This song comes from a more Eurodance EP which I enjoy but this song is the standout house track. So crisp.

Storken   – Lille Vals (Original) Running Back Records

This track holds a near and dear place in my heart. Been jamming this one on and off dance floors for years.

Storken • Lille Vals (Original Mix)

Guy Contact – Sacred Mist (Original) X-Kalay

Currently one of my favourite artists. Guy really did a good job of keeping old grooves with unique and fresh takes on house, breaks, minimal and techno music. Really excellent.

Guy Contact - Sacred Mist [XK031]

Floating Points – Problems (Original) – Ninja Tune

Absolute clinic on how to be unique. Dance floor destroyer.

Floating Points - 'Problems' (Official Video)

Adam Pitts – Secret Entrance (Original) Cosmic Confession

Adam is that guy. Absolute cut and a change of pace from his normal electro, rave stuff. This is a must have for your collection.

Jesse Leer – Position EP – Abstract Dance

Excited about my new release which has been road tested in the clubs such as Studio 4/4 and Monkey Loft in Seattle.

Jesse Leer ‘Position EP’ will be released on November 27th 2023 on Abstrakt Dance Records.
