British producer, Soulfuledge. has been entwined in dance music over the past two decades working professionally at one of the World’s leading independence dance distribution companies by day and as a highly sought-after DJ & producer by night. His first release came out in 2012, a Luther Vandross’ ‘Never Too Much’ with Tracy Hamlin om Quantize Recordings. Since then her has gone on to release productions, remixes and some collaborations with DJ Spen on labels such as King Street, Expansion, Madhouse, Soul Clap & Soul Heaven, as well as his own labels, Nyte Music and SoulfuledgeRecordings.
Inaya Day, DJ Spen & Soulfuledge – Ummah-Ye (Soulfuledge & DJ Spen Deep House Mix) Quantize Recordings
It’s always special working with Spen and equally a ‘bucket list’ moment to be working with Inaya too.
Soulfuledge & Kerrie Masters – P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing) [Extended Mix] Nyte Music
Myself & Kerrie had been talking for a while about dipping our toes into doing a cover so we went bold and took on a Jacko classic. We didn’t want to just like-for-like the original so hit it hard & added a massive chunk of “us” into it, proud of this one!
Jackie Moore – Holding Back (Moplen Remix) A’s & Bees
A’s & Bees have been flying of late (pun alert!) and enlisting Moplen’s midas touch to sprinkle some 2023 dust on this disco classic from Jackie Moore is nothing short of a masterstroke. A real end of the night moment for me!
Natasha Watts – I Am Me (Atjazz Remix) Atjazz Record Company
I’m been a fully paid-up member of the Atjazz Fan Club for years. Martin truly is an exceptional talent and a constant inspiration through all the facets of House music that he moves. His remix of Natasha’s delightful song is a real thing of beauty.
Deep Zone feat. Ceybil Jefferies – Praise Him (DJ Spen’s Retroactive Extended Mix) Sub-Urban
Spen at his best – the master of Gospel House. Nuff said.
Danny Kane feat. Princess Freesia – I Love The Way You Do (OPOLOPO Remix) Midnight Riot
Always got a lot of love for Yamz’s Midnight Riot label and this feisty, funky, flippin’ good remix from the ever impressive OPOLOPO is another fine jam for me!
Laroie – Why Don’t Ya? (Hugo LX Remix) LAROIE
Clinging onto those lazy summer nights with both hands. This is a beautiful rework from Hugo LX with a real hazy sunset feel.
Funkky feat. Nuzu Deep – Sixth Sense (The Realm Remix) Foliage Records
When two-thirds of Reel People get to grips with a remix you know it’s ticking all the right boxes – soulful music at its peak.
Madeeha, Sean McCabe & DJ Mixjah (Sean McCabe Remix) Good Vibrations Music
There’s something very hypnotic about this… with vocals lifted from a phone recording & given that classy, soulful nod from Sean… VIBES!
Nightset feat. Josue – Diamond Eyes (Dub) Nightset
Buttery-smooth vocals & a sprinkling of soul-soothing Rhodes is always a winning combination. This gem has been an early set regular for months.
Inaya Day, DJ Spen & Soulfuledge ‘Ummah-Ye’ is out now on Quantize Recordings.
